4) Man was created in the image of God; he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death which is separation from God; and all human beings are born with a human, sinful nature. Genesis 1:26, Romans 5:12
5) Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, as a substitutionary sacrifice; and all who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood. 1 Corinthians 15:3,4
6) The resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven, and His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. Luke 24:46, Acts 1:9, Hebrews 7:25
7) The personal, pre-millennial, and imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17
8) All who receive by faith Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit, and are become the children of God. Acts 16:31
9) The bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost. Revelation 20:12-15
10) We believe the following movements are out of harmony with the word of God and are contrary to the official doctrine and position of this church and are harmful to the work of God: the modern ecumenical movement with such advocates as the National and World Council of Churches; The Neo-Evangelical Movement, characterized by cooperation and dialogue with theological liberalism; and the so called charismatic movement characterized by a strong emphasis on experience, a so called “baptism of the “spirit”, “speaking in tongues”, and “faith healing”. 1 Corinthians 13 &14, 2 Corinthians 6, John 16:12-15
